Growing Excitement

Fort Hill Farms in Thompson, Connecticut is a destination for people wanting to experience the pleasures of agricultural life and the outdoors.

Hosts and farmers, Peter and Kristin Orr, along with three generations of their family, provide agricultural experiences such as: shopping for unusual perennial plants at Quintessential Gardens: walking and picking and inhaling lavender in the Lavender Labyrinth, getting lost in The Corn Maze Adventure; purchasing milk produced by the farm's award winning dairy herd under The Farmer's Cow label; and picking your own organic blueberries in The Picking Patch.

Plus now open The Creamery at Fort Hill!

Fort Hill Farms spectacular, picturesque setting - three states can be seen from the peak of Fort Hill - has been featured in Yankee magazine (twice! including 2010 New England's "Best Place to Go Nowhere"), Reader's Digest, Boston Globe, The New York Times (again two times), and numerous national and regional newspapers. As a result, the farm has become a popular destination for people to enjoy. Thank you for your interest, we hope to see you at the farm!
